Latino crashed drunk driving a school bus with 42 students in NJ

Juan González, a high school bus driver, was arrested and charged with more than 40 counts related to endangering the welfare of a minor after crashing while allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol, the police said.
González, 51, was arrested Friday when he was driving a school bus full of students from the Passaic County Technical Institute.
That day police were alerted to a possible hit and run accident involving a school bus around 8:45 a.m. During their investigation they discovered that the vehicle had struck a parked car around McBride Avenue and Squirrelwood Road in Woodland Park.
Gonzalez, a Paterson resident, was determined to be allegedly intoxicated at the time of the accident, according to police. He was subsequently arrested on 42 counts of endangering the welfare of a minor, driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident, authorities said.
None of the students on the bus were injured. But each count of child endangerment can result in 5 to 10 years in New Jersey, he said. Pix11.
