Teenager stabbed another to death in street fight out of jealousy: sentence in New York

Tyler Flach was found guilty of manslaughter in the 2019 stabbing death of 16-year-old Khaseen Morris on Long Island (NY).
Flach, now 21, was also found guilty of gang assault and criminal possession of a weapon after a two-week trial in the Nassau county.
The minor was stabbed in the heart during a fight in a mall near a school on Long Island, prosecutors said. “Khaseen Morris was a smart, funny and energetic young man who, at just 16 years old, He had his whole life ahead of him.” said county district attorney Ann T. Donnelly.
The deadly fight broke out after a large group of teenagers filed out of nearby Oceanside High School, where Morris had begun attending shortly before his death. Another 17-year-old suffered a broken arm and blows to the head during the fight, while others suffered minor injuries.
Dozens of people participated in the brawl, authorities said. Morris he was attacked by jealousy for befriending a girlex-girlfriend of a Flach “associate,” according to investigators.
Morris’s family members were in court Tuesday. “Everyone could see it. You went there intentionally to do more than cause harm. You went there on purpose to murder my brother. You targeted my brother and killed him and now you got what you deserved,” Morris’s sister told Flach.
