Pervert invaded his elderly neighbor’s home, beat her and took her clothes: outrage in New York
Thomas Johnson, a registered sex offender, was arrested for breaking into his 81-year-old neighbor’s Brooklyn home, removing some of her clothing and breaking her jaw.NYPD announced.
The elderly victim heard a noise coming from her living room in the Crown Heights neighborhood around 1 a.m. Tuesday and found Johnson, her 50-year-old neighbor, there.
“The subject began to choke and beat her and she lost consciousnessNew York Police Chief of Detectives James Essig said today at NYPD One Police Plaza. “When she was treated at a local hospital, it was discovered that she had the dislocated jaw and that he was missing several items of clothing”.
Johnson and his victim knew each other as neighbors, Essig said. Detectives detained him as a suspect and He had been arrested last year for another strangulation case, the police said.
Johnson is a third-level registered sex offender, “which is our highest level,” Essig said.
Had nine previous arrests, including one in August 2006 by sexually abuse a girl. That time he pleaded guilty and served a year behind bars, according to New York Post.
Previously, in June 1995, he was arrested for assassination attempt and pleaded guilty to assault. He also has multiple grand theft charges on his record and other unspecified crimes in 2003 and 2021.
